SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – Ribbit.me™, the creator of RibbitRewards™, the world’s first global cash-back rewards program based on blockchain technology, today announced its partnership with Jumio, an industry leader that specializes in payments and ID scanning and validation products for mobile and web transactions. The companies will work together to establish a streamlined ID verification process for both consumers and retailers conducting business on the RibbitRewards marketplace.
“Our partnership with Jumio provides for an ID verification process that is an intuitive and satisfying user experience that takes about a minute to complete,” said Gregory Simon, Ribbit.me CFO. ” It literally turns a customer’s smart-phone or computer into an ID scanning terminal that makes it fast and easy to capture and verify their ID and other credentials to meet industry requirements and reduce fraud. “
“We’re delighted to be able to play a role in helping to create trust and safety in Ribbit.me’s new and innovative marketplace” said Marc Barach, Jumio CMO. “Our ID credentials validation service, Netverify, not only provides a great customer experience and helps identify cybercriminals, but it will also help Ribbit.me manage the cost and the logistics required to manually verify customer identity documents.
Ribbit.me plans to launch its Global Airdrop on November 1, where a pre-determined number of RibbitRewards are distributed at no cost. The Bonus Airdrop also begins November 1, allowing anyone to bid for additional RibbitRewards, auction-style. The Ribbit.me marketplace is set to open the first week of December.
