This year’s Money2020 is expecting more than 1750 attendees in Las Vegas. Today, we will see Sonny Singh, Jumio’s VP Sales, speak at one of the five tracks at 3.45pm: Track 3 – Checkout and Payment.
For mobile payments to be successful, the industry needs to provide solutions that offer value to consumers, merchants and financial institutions. The session will be looking at some of the coolest innovations in the payments space that will benefit merchants and solve specific problems such as fraud and customer drop-off during transactions. Panelists will also be discussing any new ideas in the offline and online world that could shake up consumer purchasing behavior.
The panel offer a brief outlook into the future and Sonny will be talking about why credit cards will continue to be the main payment tool and how technology can support this trend. Today’s smartphone cameras have amazing capabilities and Jumio utilizes computer vision to enable devices to read and understand information from credit card images or even IDs. Usability is key – traditionally, it takes consumers about 50 seconds to type in their card number but the scanning technology is able to engineer that down to a few seconds.
Sonny and the team will be at the Western Union booth (432) from Monday till Wednesday, demonstrating Western Union’s customer-friendly mobile app featuring Jumio’s card scanning tool. Jumio turns a customer’s smartphone into a credit card scanning and validation terminal, it can be easily embedded into any checkout and customer registration process and is able to increase revenue, reduce customer drop-off rates and fraud. If you like to see a demo of Western Union’s mobile app including Jumio, check out the booth or get in touch with Sonny Singh at the show (email@example.com or +1 415 350 7868).
